  1. I felt like I could relate to Cheyenne's story a lot. I know what it's like to lose a loved one to a deadly disease and I do want a cure for the diseases. I also felt that Elie's speech was good too. She wanted health and well being for her family and wished for bullying to stop, something that I think we all want to end.

  2. Well ill be telling you about Tyler's "I Have A Dream" Speech! I totally agree with it because its about world hunger. And nobody should have to suffer world hunger. These little kids not being able to eat upsets me. Also that money shouldnt matter because everyone should be able to eat. Many kids died from world hunger. This world be great!! Not everyone has money!

  3. I really liked Zach's speech. His was about how kids should not be judged by the music they listen to or the clothes they wear. I liked how he also talked about how kids need an education they deserve, not one they can afford. I liked Tyler's speech and how he talked about having a dream to end world hunger. I truly liked everyone's speech in a way because I think that everyone did a good job!

  4. I liked Cheyenne's speech, she had a lot of good points. I liked how it was personal and had a lot of emotion in it. I also liked Amber's speech to end world hunger. I completely understood and agree with her points. Laurie's Speech was great too, see had a lot of interesting points.

  5. I enjoyed Cheyanne's speech. I liked how she talked about how personal it was to her. I liked Tyler's speech. I agree with him on ending world hunger. I agreed with Anna about everyone coming together. I loved Elitanina's speech about people not getting bullied and people not bullying others. I also agreed with her about having a clean environment.

  7. I totally agree with Tyler's "I Have A Dream" speech. His speech is about people being hungry. I agree on the fact that money should not matter and people should be able to have food without money. The world should not be like that. I also agree with Cheyenne's speech, her speech was very touching and even though I have never been put in the situation that she was put in I could totally connect with it and understand it! I thought her speech was fabulous. I totally agree with finding cures for the diseases all over the world. A great goal to have in life!! :)

  8. well in elie's "i have a dream" speech she was talking about living a healthy and friendly life. talking about how if every one would get alone with one another no matter what color you are that the world would be a much better place. she has a good point. if everyone would just be nice and respect each other then world would be a much better place!! also in tyler's speech he was talking about people not being hungry and everyone having a home. well his was really good too because if everyone had a home then no one would have to sleep in the street's and ask for something to eat. and i like those two because they are similar to mine and they are so true.

  9. I liked Elitanina's "I Have a Dream Speech" because she talked about many things that I agreed with, such as, having a cleaner environment, blacks and whites coming together to join hands, and no bullying. Eli also said she wanted to become a doctor, and i think she should follow her dreams and help other people. I like how she cares for the environment and wants cleaner air so animals and people won't get sick. Overall her story was excellent.

  10. I most agreed with Tyler's speech because I want hunger to stop too. I liked his because stopping hunger is a really good dream to have. His speech made me think about all the poor kids that is not fortunate enough to have a decent meal. I also really liked it because not everyone chose to have that kinda dream so his was different. I liked others speeches but i liked his the most.

  11. I have to go with Cheyenne's story because it's really sad and my great grandmother has something similar to that disease. Except that my great grandmother's wasn't a disease it was a sickness. She could never breath right because she was basically drowning in a fluid that was in her lungs. The fluid was almost filling her lungs up to where she would completely drown by her own lungs. I hope that they find a cure for the disease her mom had and every other disease there is because people are not ment to suffer by horrible disease's and sicknesse's like this.

  12. My favorite story was Cheyenne's. I have been through a similar expierence like she has. I learned that it is very hard to lose a loved one due to a sickness. Her story was very interesting and sad at the same time.i enjoyed listening to it.

  13. On Elitanina's speech there was something that I really like about her speech. The reason I liked her speech because there was somethings that she wrote was right about bullying and people that don't have friends cause of that. On Natalie's speech there was a fact about kids get abuse for no reason and some don't have a food to eat.

  14. I really enjoyed listening to some of the "I Have a Dream" speeches. I really agree with Tyler's "I Have A Dream" speech. I like it because hunger shouldn't effect other peoples lives. I also agree with Nelson's speech. His was about people being homeless. I agree that people should have a rough where they can sleep and eat at.

  15. I really liked Josheph's speech ,becuase he say he going to help to St.Judes hospital.
Becuase that hospital help to the person who have cancer.
I liked because he going to help to the other person who need his help.

I really liked Cody's speech. It related to me in a very heavy way. By that I mean it really kinda jumped out at me. His speech was about standing out as a child of God. It really meant a lot to know we have strong Christians in our school.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I really love Jalyn's speech. I am completely against animal cruelty. My grandmother once worked at an animal shelter and I got to go to work with her and see the animals. They were pitiful. I saw all the pain they were going through and it was heartbreaking. I liked everyone's speech, but Jalyn's really spoke to me.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I agree to a lot of speeches, but the one I liked and agreed to most in particular is Madeline's speech. I definitely agree with everybody coming together. People should not be judged based on skin color. Everybody should have a chance at being friends and not hate on one another. It would certainly make the world a better place.

  19. I really agreed with Laura Molnar's "I Have A Dream" speech. Her speech was about gays being treated like everyone else. Love is love no matter what gender it's with. I really agreed because so many people think that gays are just awful, but if they were would God have created them? You have to remember God makes no mistakes. Gays have no right to be frowned upon for what they are. They just have a different opinion that most. Gays are still people, not some exotic animal in a zoo that deserves to be caged and treated unfairly because it's different. I really do feel like this is an issue everyone needs to work on, treating people as equals. If you were gay would you like to be frowned upon and be picked on for being who you are? No, I really don't think you would like that very much. Gays are still people, and they deserved respect just like everyone else.

  20. I mostly agree with everyone in my class, they all had very good reason in their speeches. I agree with Laura G.'s speech and how she wants getting people to where they actually love going to church. I agree with my friend Sydney and her points in christianity. But most of all everyone in the classroom and all of their speeches about: world peace, ending pollution, and world hunger. They were all very good speeches.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I really liked Jalyn's speech. I liked her speech because I do not agree with pet's being abused everyday. I think it's wrong for people to buy a dog or any type of animal and just abuse it buy not feeding it or hitting it. Everyday I see stuff like this on T.V. and it just make's me so upset. I think Jalyn's speech was the best but I also liked Lexie and Madalyn's speech. They all had a really good meaning. :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. I really agreed with Madeline's speech. It meant a lot. It was a strong speech about everyone coming together and not being judged. She mentioned how we are alll just people and that is so true. We are just people. We are all human beings, we just come in all different shapes, sizes, colors, and races.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Everybody has a dream. I liked everybody's because almost everybody's dream was about finding a cure to cancer, and that black people and white people should hangout more. Puppies are abused and that if your going to abuse it, why buy the puppy? The Commercials about the puppy's is sad cause they can't defend themselves. Some puppies have been in a place for their entire life and lonely. I liked "the I have a dream speech" of the person that wrote about puppies.

  24. I really agree with Madeline's speech. We should not be treated differently because we are poor or popular. We should all be able to be friends and not enemies. We are all people so we should all be treated the same and be friends with who ever we want. I also can really relate to Jalyn's speech to i think she was right if you are going to get a animal you should not abuse it you should take care of it and love it. So this is why i agree with both Madeline's and Jalyn's speeches.

  25. I really enjoyed Morgan Huckabee's "I Have a Dream" speech. Not only did it mention the prevention of teen suicides, it also talked about how you need to think before you say stuff. Also what she said about what a smile can hide is true. You really don't know what someone else's life is like. You don't know if they have a fake smile. I would like to go on and say, my speech was similar. I mean, honestly, the world is pretty messed up. Murder, corruption, suicide, hate, and many other things are wrong with it. It's like that girl you called fat, she's stopped eating. That boy you pushed in the hallway, he thinks of suicide every night. Maybe if we all step back and think before we say or do anything, we'd all be happier. Anyways, Morgan, your speech was wonderful!

  26. I really related to everybody's "I Have a Dream" speeches. But the one that stuck out most to me, was Cailey's. It got straight to the point, and was 100% true! Everyone is judged by what clothes or shoes they wear. Even some rich kids do not allow the poor kids to hang out with them, like Cailey listed. Cailey's speech is also a dream of mine. I think everyone deserves to hear this.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I loved all of my class speeches, but there is one I really liked a lot. That one would be Tanner's "I Have a Dream" speech. In his speech he was hitting a topic that we have all herd a million times, and this topic would be pollution. Every one has heard about how the world is being destroyed. And how we are tearing a hole in the ozone layer of the atmosphere. People think that this is just a joke, but we as humans on this earth are ruining this world. how hard is it to recycle, and to cut back on all the non renewable resources. such as fossil fuels(gas) and electricity. Have you ever thought about this, what are we going to do after we cant make anymore dams, and we can not make enough electricity for every one. The population is getting higher, but the planet is not getting bigger. To sum it up i just really like how he explained ever thing so thoroughly.

  28. I really agreed with Madeline's speech, because everyone should be treated equally. We are all different people with different views but we should all be treated equally. People shouldn't judge others by the color of skin, what they wear, and how they think. It's awful how some people think because you don't wear what they wear or you don't think how they think, that it's all right to judge others. I hope that eventually people will come to their senses about this crucial issue and realize it's not ok to judge others.

  29. I enjoyed the points in Cailey Daniel's speech. She talked about how the popular crowd THINKS they are better than everyone else. In reality they all breath and bleed just like everyone else. I think Amber Self had a great point in how families should operate together. I also liked how Jalyn Bopp is all against animal cruelty. All in all the entire second period advanced english class had fascinating points. I had a great time observing their feelings.

    ReplyDelete
  30. All of these speeches really stuck with me, but a few really managed to move me. Allie Nevel's speech was about cancer and cancer is affecting millions of lives and hundreds of millions of families, including mine. One speech really stuck out to me and that speech was Madeline Baker's. She talked about many things, but one small topic was teen suicide. Teen suicide occurs often because bullies don't fully understand how harmful their words are and they just can't handle it. Sometimes it can occur with Mothers or Fathers are hurtful to there child everyday and they want an escape from it so they chose the easy way out. These things can be stopped if we just try hard enough.

  31. I really liked Jalyn's "I Have A Dream" speech. I do believe that all animals in this world deserve to be loved and well taken care off. If you are going to abuse your own pet than whats the point of getting one. Animals have feeling just like we do. I also liked Camdyn's speech because no child in this world should be abused by his/her own parents.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The "I Have a Dream Speeches' " in my 2nd period class that i agreed with most of all were Camdyn's and Jalyn's speeches. I agree with Camdyn's speech ,because there are a lot of kids being abused out in the world. Kids being treated poorly. Why even have a child if you're just going to treat them badly? So don't even think about wanting a child if you're going to be bad parents to your child.>:|
I also agree with Jalyn's speech. Her speech was about neglecting animals. I think every Pet should be loved and cared for even though they are animals. Don't get an animal if your going to treat them like garbage. They are made from God too. Treat them with love. Like your pet is one of your family member. :)

  33. I really enjoy the whole idea of the modern day Martin Luther King Jr., it was rather an exceptional theme for class. Many of the speeches stood out but it would take to long to name them, so I'll just put the ones that really sticks to my mind. Dakota Brother's speech hit me really hard. It was perfectly proportioned and very touching and moving. It made me want to stand up and say Yeah! Madeline Baker's made me want to give a restating lecture to an older group or younger group to make a point. Her speech proved that racisum is just another rock in the road and to over come such as ordeal would be incredible. It really leaves me speechless not to forget Caliey Daniel's speeches about seeing the world through another person's point of view, see what they see and to understand it. Jalyon Bopp's speech, about the abuse of animals and our pets, made me want to shed tears and walk our of the room and walk to the nearest pet shelter to be a volunteer, it touched my heart so much. I really don't know what else to say since I didn't name everyone but good job they were all truly amazing and very realistic. I was very honored to present mine but I really wished I could have made it longer. Hope you enjoy what I think! Thank you for listening to my speech, and enjoyed!

I really liked Jalyn's speech. I am fully behind in the stand against animal cruelty it's absolutely senseless and unworldly. She made some amazing and substantial opinions. But everyone's speeches were great and all are an amazing dream. Hopefully one day all these dreams will come true and make this world a better place.

  35. I really liked most of the "I have a dream speech!" Many of them "shouted out" to me. The main two I liked was Garrett's and Willie's. Garrett's was about how wished things were made in the USA. How many things were not mad in china. He wished that on Veterans Day that our flag's would have USA and not china. I totally agree with him. The next speech I liked was Willie's speech. His speech was about color. How we should not get judge by our color but also what we wear. I absolutely agree with Willie on this.

    ReplyDelete
  36. In my 3rd period class the speech that I agreed with both was Willie and Bobbie-Anne's. Willie's thought to turn everyone yellow might have been meant to make people laugh, but once he got into the serious points I agreed with all of them. Bobbie-Anne listed some great points also. She talked about more than one issue. I also enjoyed listening to everyone who talked about cancer and even religious topics. Even though Bobbie-Anne and Willie's spoke to me the most, I enjoyed listening to all of your speeches. I hope all your dreams come true!

    ReplyDelete
  37. i like really liked tessa's story i hope her dream will come true soon. its terrible to see what her sister goes through everyday. i also liked lanson's speech. he talked about how he wanted no racism. i totally agree with that because i have done that myself.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i really like every ones speech about cancer. because my mom about died from it twice. i think they should fined a cur for cancer like everyone says so people can live instead of dieing all the time. there are people dieing every day from cancer. it would mean alot to me and to every one elts if they did fined a cur for cancer.

  39. I liked Garrett Smith's I Have A Dream Speech. He is wright it is embarrassing when you go to a Veterans Day program and the flags are made in China. Also like he said why can't we make every thing. The Chinese flags should have made in America. We are a very awesome country.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I really like Tyler's i have a dream speech. Brian's was good to it talked about not having any wars. Garrets was also good it talked about making things in america. Bobbie-anne's was even better it talked about suicide prevention

    ReplyDelete
  41. - I really agreed with Bobbie-Anne's speech about suicide prevention. I have also had friends that have gone through so much that they just took themselves out of the world. Most teenage suicides happen due to bullying. I am 100% against bullying with anyone or anything it's all wrong. Bobbie-Anne expressed her feelings about suicide prevention very well and I loved her speech! Great Job!

  42. Bobbie-Anne OliverMarch 5, 2012 at 8:00 AM

I agreed with Garrett Smith's "I Have A Dream" speech. A lot of people have no jobs and have things they need to pay for. If America would supply their own things, we would save a lot of money, and it would give people jobs. I also agreed with Willie's speech about not to judge people by how they look.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The "I Have a Dream Speech" that spoke out to me was Garrett's. It had a good point about how we should do things here in America. But if we made all of our stuff, we would not be friends with China, and Europe! They make most of all our stuff cause we are good friends with them. But it also silly how we do have American flags with stickers saying "Made in China".

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree with Garret's Speech. I agree because it's weird when its Veteran'sDay and your sitting at the program holding a American flag made by the Chinese. We should make our own products for our country. Not everything we have should be made by the Chinese or Japanese. America has to learn that we can't always lean on another country when we need something!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I really agree with anyone speech that's about Cancer or Diabetes. My Grandfather died of lung cancer and i barley knew him. My grandmother has diabetes as we speak. I was only three when my grandfather passed away, and now my grandmother has to live with her diabetes and high blood pressure without my grandfather. I have always been told that if my grandfather was here today i would be a different person. They, as in my family, say the same about me if my sister was her. I wish there was no cancer or at least a cure for them. My grandmother has to take medicine for her diabetes, also she has to take shots. Her sugar got so low one time that she went into shock, she alright now through. Same with diabetes, i wish they would find a cure for it. Maybe one day that wish and dream will come true.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I really liked Garrett Smith's speech. His speech was about how almost everything today is made in China, and how the U.S.A should start producing more products.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I really liked Willie's I Have a dream speech because It was funny and it really made me think. If we were the same as everyone els there would be no one to be raceist because we would be the same like everyone. I really enjoyed Willie's speech. I think it was the best in the class.

    ReplyDelete
  48. i totally agree with Gary's speech because it's true we do need to get our own things our self without other states. i really liked everyones speeches they we're really good.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I fully agree with Garrett's speech. It makes me so mad when I walk into a store and everything in it is made in china. This country wouldn't be in a depression if we had plants and factory's here that we bulit stuff ourself. I really hope that one day I'll be able to go into a store and see that everything says made in the USA. I fully support everything Garrett said.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I enjoyed Garret's I have a dream speech a lot. I agree that U.S.A should start to make products for themselves. He gave out some good points during his speech. I agree that holding up a U.S.A flag made in China is not really good. U.S.A should start to make their own products , so they also start to make some money for them. If they did this we could learn how to make new things, and not depend on other countries for things that we need. This is why i agreed with Garret's speech.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think everyone's speech showed a side of them that some haven't seen before. Some people went really deep to find what to talk about. I really agreed with Bobbie-Anne's speech. It was about suicide and what are some causes of suicide. I also liked Garret's speech. It was kind of funny but I agree that it's sad when your waveing an American flag and you look at it and it's made in China.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I thought that all of the speeches were very good. The one i agreed with the most is Bobbie-Anne's. She had a lot of good points in her speech. People really don't realize how much it hurts someone when they say bad, or mean things to them, like Bobbie-Anne said i know a few people that has took it to the extreme, because they had been bullied, and have died or is dying. I don't agree with the choices they made because they were bullied but i could only imagine what all they had been through. I wish that not only our class could hear her "I Have A Dream" speech but other classes, and schools.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I really liked Willie's and Garrett's speech because i liked theirs.I really like every ones speech.I hope everyone has a dream that will come true. one day i hope my dream comes true.thats all i got to say.

  54. I completely agree with Bobbie Anne's speech about ending suicides.I thought she was making a very good point by saying not to treat bisexual, lesbian, or gay teens any different from anyone else, so that they don't consider suicide. If she were to try to convince the world to end suicides I would be right there with her standing up for what we believe is right. I believe that people should all live peacefully together and not hate each other so everyone would feel good about themselves and not be thinking of committing suicide. I'm glad Bobbie Anne read her speech so that we all could come to an understanding of how we need to treat each other and end suicides!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I liked Madeline "I Have a Dream" speech. In her speech it described how it shouldn't matter what the color of our skin is but one day we will worship one God. Her speech related to me about how we will serve one God when he comes back for us. Her speech was extremely good and real. This is why I loved it so much.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I really like Garrett Smith's I Have A Dream Speech. Garrett is right about what he said about his speech that when you go a Veterans Day program and the flags are made in China. Also what he said why can't we make every thing. I really like Willie's because his speech was about color. How we should not get judge by our color.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I liked all of the speeches in my class, but i really enjoyed Willie's. He talked about how he wishes everyone would be yellow. It sounds kind of silly, but he really made some great points. If we were all yellow no one would be treated differently. We would all look the same and no one would get made fun of. I also liked Bobbie-Anne's speech. She listed several things that i totally agree with. A lot of people talked about the cure for cancer. Thats another dream of mine. No one should have to suffer, whether it be the person with cancer or the friends and family that has to go through loosing a loved one.

  59. I really agreed with Bobbie-Anne's speech it really pulled at my brain. I have a friend who has put a knife at his own neck and I'm glad he didn't end it. I agree that the Bullying is a horrible thing and i think bullies don't think of what they could cause a person to do. Bobbie-Anne did a very good job of expressing her feeling about this and truly wants Suicide to stop happening. I think this is a great dream to pull for and i hope one day there will be no more suicide.

  60. I enjoyed everyone's speeches because thay talked all talked about different topics. There were some that talked about racism and others that talked about world peace and a cure for cancer. All of the speeches were great because they really made me think about how other people looked at things differently. They all make you see how inperfect we are as humans and how much hate there is in the whole world.

  61. I agree with everybodys "I have a dream" speech, about a world with no cancer, no racism, and bullies. I really like Bobbie-Ann's speech. She said that she wishes that they could find a way to stop people from commiting suicide, and that the doctors could find a way to help these people through there situation. I agree with her because I think it is said to see or hear about people being bullied and kill thereselfs over it.

  62. I enjoyed listening to Leia Shaver's speach. The begining of her speach talked about how she thinks guys should respect girls. And she also talked about how if you want respect from a guy or any one else you have to respect yourself first. I also liked Alexis Hogeland's speach. She alked about how she wanted to start an organization where they donate teddy bears and blankets for the children who have been abused. And i think thats a great idea!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I liked all the Speeches in my class but I have to say Leia & Bailey's was the best. With Leia i could relate to what she wrote about. She has a good point when she said girls need to have more respect for them selves & how teenagers make bad decisions. Bailey's was completely true. Every kid needs both their parents.

  64. I liked everyones speeches because they talked about things i didn't even think about.I didn't think about gangs, girls being treated right, and so much more. One said he had a dream where doctors would have a cure for cancer.

  65. I agree, with Leia's speech the most. I like how she said girls have to respect themselves. Most girls don't have respect for themselves, and then wonder why they don't receive respect. Also, I agree how she said guys should treat girls better. Some guys have no idea on how much damage their doing to girls. They cause a lot of insecurity problems. That's my favorite speech I've heard today. :)

I really liked Leslie's speech. I liked how she talked about people should stop doing drugs. Her speech was different than other people's speeches and it was really good. Also i liked Leah's speech. It was so so true about girls should get treated right and not stay with a jerk. I loved everyones speeches!!!

  67. I liked Abel's speech. I like Abel's speech cause i think that people should get alone and no gangs. I like this cause people fight like a war for nothing . i wish they wont do this .

  68. In my 4th period class everybody did a grate job with their " I Have A Dream" speeches . My favorite one was Alexis Hogeland she really expressed her self out to us. I really love the idea of the foundation . I agree with the idea that every kid out there needs love. All of the speeches were grate but this was one of my favorites.

  69. In my 4th period class a lot of people presented their "I Have A Dream" speeches. And a lot of them I liked. But the one i liked the most was Alexis Hogeland. Because she talks about Child Abuse and how she has delt with it. And she wants to start an organization that has to do with Child Abuse and she talks about how kids see the world in black and white. And that she wants to show them the world in different colors and STOP CHILD ABUSE!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Today we read our "I Have a Dream" speech. One in particular really touched me. it was Molly K"s. She talked about Child Abuse. I agreed with her on pretty much everything. Children shouldn't be abused. They should have a place to stay and not school to be a hide out for them. I loved her speech and hopefully you agree too.

  71. I agree with Atziry's speech about how child abuse and domestic violence should end. Its awful what the children have to go through at such a young age. I also agree with Mariah's speech on how one day she hopes that we can find a cure for cancer. That a child at such a young age will have to die from it or children will loose their parents form it. I hope one day that both of these dreams will come true and we can all live in a better world.

  72. I think Devin's has a good point about not pushing bears off their unicycles.

  73. In my 7th period class, there were alot of very well written speeches, and some very funny ones. The one that stuck out to me the most though, was Molly Katherine's. Molly K's speech was about child abuse, and how no child should be victim to their own parents. It was also about how no child should feel that their only safe place is at school. I also, have to say, that my favorite speech besides Molly Katherine's was Benjamin's. He didn't really talk about anything deep or emotional, but it was absolutely hilarious! (:

  74. In seventh period we presented our I have a dream speeches. Alot of them were very good and I agreed with all of them. I really enjoyed Hayden's speech because it was very inspiring. I also liked Molly K's and Atziry's speeches about abuse. Also, I agreed with all of these speeches about finding cures for diseases.

  75. The speech that hit me the hardest was Devin's speech. Bears deserve to have rights to do stuff as well as humans. I agree with the fact that all bears no matter what colour they are they deserve to wear crazy hats. All bears need to be showed the same respect they deserve beacause they are semi-human too. Devin's speech was very epic.

  76. The speech that I liked the most in my 7th period class was Atziry Rentz's. Her pseech was about the need to stop abuse. I agree with the fact that it's terrible for anybody to show any kind of abuse toward any creature. People need to see that abuse need to be stopped. All kinds of abuse. Whether it be verbal or any other kind.

  77. My class did a great job with their "I Have a Dream Speech." I like Tiger's racism speech a lot. I also liked Devin's speech about bears and racism. He did a good job using bears as if they were races. Haden story was awesome, but the best part was how he preached his speech to the whole class. Good Job guys!

  78. I have to say I agreed most with Molly K's speech about child abuse. Child abuse can be happening to anyone. If a school if a safe zone for a child how is that right? Not only that but school might not be a safe zone they might not have me. This is why I think that her speech really spoke to me.

  79. I really liked Kayla's speech because she said a little bit of everything. She also wrote what all the people would become and would do in the future. I also loved Benjamin's speech it was really funny. I really liked Hayden's speech and I think everybody else did too. He said his speech very similar to that of Martin. I also agree with Molly. She said that no kid should be abused, and I think the same way. I really enjoyed hearing everybody's story.

  80. All of the I Have A Dream speeches were great. My favorite of course was none other than Benjamin Spence's speech, his was hilarious. Also Devin's was really a jolly good knee slapper. And, Haden's speech left me with some what of a heartfelt tingling sensation. Also, all of the speeches that covered a cure for cancer I most definitely agree with.

  81. I am in 7th period and I loved Atziry's Speech. She was talking about the child abuse that children go through. She said that no one human should walk around with scares. She also talked about how it takes a long time for the kid to heal. This was the best speech by far today all i would like to say is STOP CHILD ABUSE!!!

  82. I liked Devin's speech because bears on unicycles deserve better than how they are treated. The should get to go to the Jack in the Box drive-thru any time they want like any Russian can. The should also be aloud to go down the road at any speed they want. Bears on unicycles are my friends. This is why I agree with Devin.

  83. I really agree with Atziry's story. She has a really great point on child abuse. I have also read "The Child Called It" and it was really a life changing story. Someone must be insane to treat a human being like that. I don't think I could abuse someone, I would hate myself for it. That is why I agree with Atziry.

  84. I agree with Atziry's speech, because I believe that no one should be abused. She said that it was not fare for people to be treated this way, and that is true. We should all be treated the same, and we should be loved. No one should what some people have to go through. I also agree that people do this because they were abused there selves, or that they have seen abuse before.

  85. I agreed with Molly K's speech the most! I agree that there shouldn't be any child abuse. I also agree that children shouldn't have to go to school with briuses and things of that sort. I think that children should be able to report this and move out from the person who is abusing them. I really enjoyed her speech!

  86. All of the "I Have a Dream" speeches were excellent, but Madeleine's really spoke to me. I totally agree with her idea of people of every different race coming together as one to worship the Lord. She also mentioned that we stop judging people by their appearance but by who they really are. I also agree with Allison's speech about finding a cure for cancer and other diseases. There are some horrible diseases in the world, and it would save so much pain and heartbreak if someone could find a cure for some of these diseases.

  87. Today there were a lot of awesome speeches. The one that stood out was Austin's speech. He talks about finding a cure about diabetes. It really touched me because I have witnessed a lot of people I know who were diagnosed with diabetes. Sometimes people with diabetes die from it. I know with that cure it will save a bunch of people's lives and change the world.

  88. Today in 7th period, our class read our "I Have a Dream" speeches out loud. I really liked Molly's & Mariah's speeches about finding a cure for cancer. I lost an aunt to cancer & it's been really rough on my family these last couple of months. I don't think anyone should go through the suffering of losing someone to it, knowing the person must've been miserable. Austin's speech also touched me. Most everyone on my mother's side of the family has diabetes, excluding herself. Finding a cure for both these diseases would make SUCH a great impact on the world! I hope that someone can someday find a cure for both of these, so people could live up to their full potential.

  89. Today we all read our "I Have a Dream" speeches. Molly K's speech was very good. Her speech was about child abuse and how wrong it is. No child should have to rely on school to be their safe place. I also liked Haden's speech because of the way he presented it. Devin's speech was also very well presented. Let freedom wear nice hats!!

  90. I think that I will talk about Leia's speech..I think that hers is very true about Guys treating girl better and not sing jerks..I also think that some girls should treat guys better too like she said. The one thing that got my attention About her speech is when she said of you call yourself a Christian then act like one. That's very true and more people should be like this.

Today in class, we listened to many great speeches. I thought each speech was true, amusing,or very intriguing. I agreed very much with Atziry's "I Have a Dream" speech. The fact that some kids cannot go home to peacefulness seems unfair to those kids. No kid should have to rely on school to be their safest place, it should be with your family or friends. Every child should be treated the right way by their family, not hurt by them.

  92. I mostly agree with Molly K and Atzry's speech about child abuse, that no child should be scared of their parents. And that home should be a safe place for children. And that no kid should have to come to school with bruses from thier parents. Also I agree with Riley's speech about a cure for cancer. I have a dream that both of these with come true one day.

  93. My favorite speeches were Molly's and Tiger's. I agreed with what Molly said about foster care. My neighbors used to be foster parents and the kids would arrive unhappy and leave worse off. I appreciated Tigers speech because it was good to have the opinions of someone who probably does face racism from time to time. I admire Ben for conquering The No-Nose-Wonder with even the simplest of spells, because most people I know use complex enchantments.

  95. In my oponion Cheyennes "I Have A Dream" speech stood out to me. Her speech was about coming out cures for cancers and diseases that theres not cures for. This would be one of my dreams to because i can relate to wanting this to.I have had family members pass away from cancers and diseases that they didnt have cures for. Maybe this speech that she has wrote actually meant something to her. She probaly had family that had cancer or some other disease and they didnt have a cure for, and she had wish they did.

  96. Cheyenne’s “I Have A Dream” speech, I know had to of taking her a lot of courage to read aloud, for something that means so much to her. Her speech touched me and if I were her that read about my mom who had died when I was younger, because of a disease, I know for sure I would have had tears come to my eyes. Elitanina’s speech about families being able to grow together and all different races being able to join hands together, how she worded her speech interested me in a way that I had to pay attention and listen to her. Not just Cheyenne’s and Elitanina’s speeches were the ones that I enjoyed the best. Everybody did a great job and they all had great meanings.

  97. I agreed to Eltanina's speech. Eltanina's speech had hit on a lot of the things I had in my speech. thats why I liked her speech. It had plenty to say, so to speak. I also liked Cheyenne's speech too. I know what its like to loose someone you know and love to cancer or a desease.

  98. Bobbie-Anne's Speech Was The Best One I Heard. I Loved It Because It Was True. Everything In that Speech Was Meant To Be Said To Everyone In This School. It Said A Lot About Everyone In This School. Most Kids In This School Are Judge And They Don't Know What To Do In Life No More. They Turn Away From Everyone. Her Speech Meant Don't Judge, Everyone Has Feelings, Don't Make Anyone Hurt Inside. Have Feelings. Help Someone That Needs It.

  99. Today in seventh period we presented our I Have A Dream speeches. I agree with every single one of them but I really enjoyed Benjamin's and Haden's speech. They had fun with theirs and others were more serious. Atziry's and Molly K's speech also really stood out about how no child should be abused. Tiger's stood out about racism too. All the speeches were good but these were my favorites.

  101. I have to say I thought everyone did fantastic on their very own versions of Martin Luther King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech. Many of them consisted of very basic things but then went into great detail of how each of these basic things could change the world. Also some wrote about cures for cancer and other deadly diseases that many have lost loved ones over. Overall I would say everyone did wonderful. Job well done!

  102. I agree with Ariana Droves that everyone should be free and everyone has a right to live here. I do think that after so many year you should have to show that u have a home and a job. Everyone just wants a better life anybody should be turned away from it. This country talked about freedom but are we really
Free? But over all I think everyone has a right to live here.

  106. I agree with Catelann, we should have less homework and more fun things as in hang out with our friends. I also agree with Leah, if you want to be respected by others you have to learn how to respect yourself.I also agree with Moses they should actually be nice and kind to people not just for there race but for their personality, don't judge people for what they look like if you don't want to be judged as well.

  107. On the I have a dream speeches was Bailey Marnards. She was talking about how some kids do not have parents. And how she thinks we should start finding ways to help them. I think that was a very good thing to write about, because some people might know kids who are going through that!

The poems I found most interesting were the ones that people wrote themselves. They seemed to be much more enjoyable.

  110. I agree with Madeline Mitchell in we need to eliminate cancer and one day, we will eventually achieve this goal. I have had family and friends suffer and pass from cancer and I want to find security that no more will die from this one day in the near future.
I also completely support Atziry Rentz's speech about child abuse. All kids should have home to look forward to. The love and care a child receives from a mother and father is essential in the way that child will grow up and see life. Those children should know it isn't their fault either. The fault lies with the irresponsible parent that they were placed with in their adolescence, and hopefully we can instill in our children, at least, how important kindness and showing concern for others well being is in this world.
