In the upcoming weeks (until Christmas) Mrs. Gilchrist's classes will be doing reviews of books, places, products, businesses, stores, restaurants, and movies around town. Students will be learning about how to write opinion pieces and also the needed skills that allow them to write towards specific audiences.
Here's the Requirements:
1.) Students must write two different reviews (preferably a negative and positive) and turn those in first. (100 points.)
2.) Once that part has been "checked off" and edited, they are allowed to creatively express their reviews through online blogs, videos, YouTube, consumer reviews, Urban spoon, the local newspaper, and even posters hung in the windows of the businesses themselves!
3.) Students will rate each product, movie, book, store, restaurant, and or business with the AMS REVIEW rating system of 1-5 pitchforks.

"I have always had a fairly sessile experience at O' Charley's, but when we went there to celebrate my grandmother's birthday it was so horrid that my family vowed to never go back.
ReplyDeleteWhen we first arrived at the restaurant I noticed when we walked in the door that the health rating was an eighty- eight. When I see a restaurant with a rating under ninety- five I become uneasy and curious as to why the rating is so low.
When they were showing us to our booth my mother requested that we might be seated at one of the empty tables so we wouldn't all be squished together. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, but the host said that they didn't have anyone to work that table. He was so rude to us, and he kept smarting- off.
When we finally received our food, that took almost an hour to get out to us, it was disgusting and snappy. The prices weren't too bad but were to high for the experience we had and the service we received.
The service was poor, and the food was lousy. I give O' Charley's one pitchfork and will not be returning any time soon."

ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to K-Mart? Well if you have, I'm sure you've noticed that their service is atrocious. In fact, its monstrous. Some might say that their employees are even a little bit rude. Every time I go in there with someone, we try to avoid getting assistance as much as possible.
I think that it's safe to say that K-mart's prices are not the best. You've probably noticed that when they do have sales, they're usually out of most of their sale items. Why even waste your time when you know that they probably won't have the items that you're looking for? They are also indubitably unorganized. You can't really find anything in there because it is so unorganized.
I hope that I have informed you enough for you to avoid going there if at all possible. If you do decide to go, all I have to say to you is good luck. Overall, I give K-mart 1 out of 5 pitchforks.
Anyone looking for a salon probably has three things run across their mind; Good service, quality work, and fair prices. Go to Mira Bella's salon in Guntersville, Alabama and you'll get all three and even more! Mira Bella's had the friendliest of beauticians and the best work in town all for a decent price.
ReplyDeleteAny stylist available there can put a smile on your face. Although sometimes it may be difficult to book an appointment any beautician would be more than happy to work around their schedule to make sure your appointment is booked!
If you are ever displeased with their work, talk to a stylist and they can fix any problem you might have. On the other hand, if you are still unsatisfied discounts or free gifts may apply. Along with their wide variety and selection of work Mira Bella's stylists are always willing to try something new until you are completely satisfied with their work.
Mira Bella's fits most budgets, and if not arrangements can surely be made. So if you are interested in a salon with an overall SUPERB rating, check out Mira Bella's salon. I highly recommend booking an appointment now! I give it 5 pitchforks all the way!!

ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to Walmart? If you have, you most likely found everything you needed. I think that Walmart is always very organized and they always have great and affordable prices! After all, their motto is "Save money, live better!"
Walmart's employees are always very helpful and they always help me find whatever it is that I need. They always point me in the right direction if I can't find the specific item I'm looking for.
Walmart has an arcade that younger children will enjoy playing in. They also have a Subway, a hair salon, and a Redbox machine where you can purchase movies for one night for only a dollar. I think that it's safe to say that everyone should go to Walmart!
I give it five pitchforks!
Although K-Mart may have good deals every once in a while, most everything you find deals on is either completely broken or damaged when shopping at K-Mart.
ReplyDeleteI find that the store is always messy and very unorganized, making it difficult for shoppers to find any specific items they are looking for.
The very few workers there are usually rather helpful, but I would prefer even more workers there to check you out or help you find a certain item.
The prices are fairly decent; however, like I stated before if you do happen to find an excellent deal it's always ruined but the fact that the item is either broken, damaged, or out of stock.
In conclusion, I would recommend passing by your local K-Mart and shopping somewhere else. I give it an overall rating of 2 pitchforks.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever wondered what you were going to eat for lunch? Well, wonder no more! Zaxby's is an astonishing place to eat. They have a great variety of food choices for you to chose from. Every time I go in there, I find something new that I want to try. They also have many distinctive locations.
They also support our schools by holding fundraisers for them. Their prices are also adequate. You can also order online. They also have coupons for the Zax kid's club. That means that when it is a kid's birthday or a special holiday, Zaxby's sends a coupon to that child.
Zaxby's is also helping the Make A Wish foundation grant the wishes of 30 children with life-threatening illnesses.
Zaxby's also has Party Platterz, which are perfect for any special event. I think that everyone should take a trip to Zaxby's. I give them 4 out of 5 pitchforks.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to McDonalds? If you have, you probably noticed that the floors, counters, bathrooms, and eating areas are filthy! There are flies and crumbs of food everywhere! They never fail to make me loose my appetite!
The cashiers never get my order correct. Also, the cashiers are rude. I think that they are barbaric, disrespectful, and ignorant! It's very frustrating!
Personally, I think the food that McDonalds serves is nasty. Their French Fries taste like cardboard soaked in grease, their soft drinks taste like dirty water, and the meat they put in their burgers is fake and makes you fat!
In conclusion, I strongly encourage you to avoid McDonalds whenever possible. If I were you, I would just stick with Burger King!

ReplyDeleteThe restaurant Captain D's, is defiantly not my favorite place to eat. The food is too greasy and there is not many choices to pick from. Every time I've eaten at Captain D's I have not been satisfied. I never get full from eating it. The only thing I can stand to eat is the fries. The fries are good and the fish is ok. Everything else is just disgusting. Captain D's is not for me but I'm sure to other people, this restaurant is just amazing. I personally am not a fan of Captain D's. I always seem to be picking other restaurants to eat at. Whenever my dad asks if I want Captain D's, I automatically say no. The tables and floors have always been clean so thats a plus. I just don't enjoy the food as much as others.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely despise Jack's with all my heart. I ate there once and I actually thought I was going to puke. The workers are nice and all, but they scare me. The food was just HORRENDOUS. The fries were too salty! I ate maybe three bites the whole time we were there. It was by far the worst experience of my life! At first, my parents were mad because they said I was wasting their money, but after my dad got a bite of my burger, he quickly apologized. It's THAT bad. My mom promised me that I'd never have to suffer like that again in my whole life again.
When I grow up, I'm going to write the health department a strongly worded letter about how terrible I think Jack's is! Hopefully, they'll listen to me... or taste the fries. Either way, Jack's WILL get shut down for good! That'd make me very happy! But then again, if you LIKE greasy food and overly salted fries, I think you should go eat at Jack's! It'd be your favorite place to eat, until it gets shut down because of the rise in high cholesterol levels! Like I said, I detest Jack's and I think it'd be a complete waste of your time and money. So please, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to eat. :) I give Jack's ONE pitchfork.

ReplyDeleteI used to go to Jefferson's very often, but that quickly changed. One day we went after church to eat, and I noticed a small bug crawling on the window sill by my arm. At first I didn't realize what it was, then unfortunately, I knew it was a roach. I told my grandma and she thought she killed it until it started to crawl back to me!!! On top of the whole roach incident, we had to wait about 40 minutes, and there was only 5 or 6 people there!! After we moved tables, we told the waitress about the nasty roach hanging with us at our table, she didn't even bother to clean it up! Apparently, that wasn't the first roach problem they had before, so we got a free meal. But if you like roaches crawling around, you will absolutely love Jefferson's! I will give Jefferson's a half of a pitch fork for effort, although they don't deserve that!:)

ReplyDeleteBubba Rito's is a restaurant that serves tacos and burritos. I went there earlier this year and didn't really enjoy it that much. I like tacos and burritos a lot, just not from there.
The area to get your food is right when you walk in the door. So, if you are standing in line, you're blocking the walkway. Sometimes the line is backed up out the door. The restrooms are extremely tiny! There is also only one stall for ladies, and one stall for men. Although, they do have a large dining area.
The meat on the tacos didn't have much flavor at all, but you can get tortilla chips with your meal. They were okay but not the best. The drinks were really refreshing, and you get free refills.
If I got to choose where I wanted to go eat, I more than likely would not choose Bubba Rito's. Overall, I give them two out of five pitchforks.
Negative Review: Flipped the movie
ReplyDeleteBefore watching the movie Flipped I read the book. The book was really good. It's about a girl named Juli falling in love with her next door neighbor named Bryce. He always thought she was annoying until eighth grade when she finally got the message that he thought that way about her, Luci stops liking him and does not even talk to him. Overtime, Bryce starts to fall in love with her. Its has a sweet moral and concept. When the movie came out it was like the book but got boring. It flipped back and forth between Bryce's point of view and Juli's, that got really tiring. The film did not have as much explaining about the characters like the book did. You would probably like this movie if you did not read the book first. I give Flipped the movie three pitchforks.
Negative Review: I recently watched the movie Beastly. I had imagined it to be just a great romantic movie. As I got into the movie I started realizing it was very predictable. It was just an ordinary romantic film. The ending was horrible to me. I felt like this movie's producer didn't put much thought into Beastly. Also I didn't like how it started. To me it started in a weird place. Beastly was one of those movies when you look at the cover and think it will be really good, but it isn't at all. I could almost predict what the next scene would be. If you really like it when you can tell what's going to happen next, you may love this movie, but I like an edge-of-your-seat-/don't-know-what's-going-happen next movie! In the middle of the film after he turns to the "beast-like" thing it sums it up too fast and from there its way too predictable! **

ReplyDeleteI have a review I would like to share with you guy, it is on Dirt Cheap. Let me just put this out there, if you plan on going in there for a certain item, god luck. The whole place has stuff thrown everywhere.
It is almost like you have to navigate around all the junk lying on the floor. Also, if you buy an item that is electronic it more than likely will not work.
I mean if you like to live dangerously this place is for you. There is probably a fire hazard because of the junk that you might trip over. I'm not trying to run the place, but the manager needs to think about a clean up man/woman.
This review may seem a little negative, but really there is nothing good about this place. Besides the great prices you get on broke junk. I'm going to end this review by giving Dirt Cheap a one pitch fork rating.

ReplyDeleteRecently my younger sibling, Trevor, used his hard earned money to purchase an air soft gun on e-bay. He waited impatiently for weeks for that gun. When the arrival date finally came he sat, waiting, by the door until it got to the house. He has several bee bee, pellet, and other air soft guns, but this one looked a significant amount cooler than the rest. It looked like the gun he uses on his new MW3 (Modern Warfare 3) video game. The box arrived and he viciously ripped the box apart, with a beaming look on his face. Trevor and my dad quickly put it together and went to the backyard to shoot at a soda can. We all sat eagerly to watch his shoot the first shot on his new gun. As soon as he pulled the trigger it snapped off, tumbling onto the deck. My brothers eyes filled with water. He had gotten his hopes up for a crappy, cheaply made, almost useless gun. The only thin it was goos for was sitting on a hanging clip on his wall with all of his other guns. It was nothing but an accessory, never getting touched anymore. This e-bay seller had stretched the truth tremendously by saying how far it shot, or how durable it was. It was none of these things. The farthest we go tit to shoot was zero feet, considering it broke mid-first shot. This experience upset my brother so bad that i wanted to cry for him. I definitely do not recommend buying anything on e-bay, for you never know exactly just what your getting. Don't throw your money away on that kind if stuff, but if you don't mind taking a money consuming risk on purchasing it, then go for it. I give e-bay one pitchfork.

ReplyDeleteWal-Mart is the worst place to shop, but they do have fresh produce. When you go you usually have to park way down in the parking lot, its crowded, and its very unsanitary.
If you ever want to go on the weekend its awful, because its usually full of teenagers either hanging around outside, circling around the parking lot, and sprinting down the aisles inside. When you are ready to check out the register lines are usually backed up. And there are only ten register's open most of the time.
When you are pushing the shopping cart down the aisle you always run into someone or you get in their way. When you try to avoid another person you always end up bumping into them, because the aisles because they are so tight. I really can't stand Wal-Mart so I give it one pitchfork.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever bought something that felt as if you couldn't go without it? And then that great item either broke or messed up after not that long? Well, that has happened to me many time. Most of the times that it has happened to me, the item was something made by Under Armour. One time that i remember that happening to me was not to long ago. I bought a pair of Under Armour tennis shoes that i really liked. I couldn't wait to wear them! The next week, they had already started to rip and look bad. The same thing happened with a pair of Under Armour sunglasses. Under Armous is a pretty decent athletic store and they have a variety of things, but they also have a lot of bad things about them too. One thing that people mostly notice is that their products are overpriced. They believe that their items are worth more than they really are. They also need more ideas about things because they need different styles for people to buy their items. I also know that they overprice items because they will be selling a pair of tennis shoes, T-Shirts, or maybe shorts and you can go to another store such as their main competitor, Nike, and find the same stuff for a less price and the item is the same or even better than Under Armour's. In my opinion, I like Under Armours competitors, Nike or Adidas, better. Under Armour isn't that bad of an athletic brand, but they aren't that good either. If you were shopping for athletic equipment or maybe some new T-Shirts and shorts, I might suggest Under Armour, but probably after Nike or Adidas. If you are shopping in Under Armour though, i would reconsider on buying there, or at least to pay attention to what you are buying.
Negative: New Balance Shoes
ReplyDeleteI'm usually not the one to be judgemental on things, but this is clawing at my chest and I need to tell the world! This thing I'm talking about is New Balance shoes. I play tennis so I needed a some well performance shoes. I go to Hibbett's, and I see some cheap New Balance shoes. I come to examine them, and they seem light-weight. Also, another feature that caught my attention was that the soles were ridiculously flexible. Right then I thought these were the perfect shoes to withstand my hippo-like weight. One month into the season I started wearing them down. One day I noticed a centimeter sized rip where the toes were located. I thought it was nothing, but then as each day progressed it got bigger and bigger until one day at home my toe ripped right through the tip of the shoes. So immediately I ran to my mom in frustration and asked her to get some new shoes while I was at school the next day. Well, she got me the exact same pair. This time I'll be extra careful. Well, two weeks later they start ripping again! I do not recommend you buying these. I rate them 1 out of 5 pitchforks.
In my opinion, McDonalds is not the best place to expect your food to be all in your bag.
ReplyDeleteI've been there a couple of times before, and we were about on our way home, until my dad decided to check our bag. We were missing some of our food, so we had to drive all the way back McDonalds, while we were short on gas. Then, we got our food and drove home. It was almost all a waste of precious gas that we needed to get to school and back the next day.
The employees seem to take their time in everything, even when you're in a hurry. Almost every time we go there, somethings not in our bag that should be.
One time, when we got home, my brother's food wasn't in there. We couldn't drive all the way back over there, cause there was no point in it. So we just fixed him some soup.

Walmart is an okay store but it has some major issues. For one thing the way the employees are treated is drastic. They get worked to death working 7 days a week only to get minimum wage. The only thing Walmart's C.E.O.s care about is how much money the employees make for them. Then after they have gotten enough money from you they proceed to fire you, unless your "perfect".
ReplyDeleteThat way they get the most money possible by accepting the best money magnets and declining the worse. This is of course my opinion so no hard feelings. Walmart needs some serious changes in their line of stores everywhere. Hopefully in the future things will change and will make employees more valuable. i give walmart √√ out of √√√√√ pitchforks.
Waffle House is one of my least favorite restaurants. I refused to go back when I found quite a few fingernails and hairs in my food and my friends food. The cook wasn't wearing a hair net and the hairs matched hers. It was horrendous! We decided not embarrass her so my friends mom went back in there after we left to tell her. It was the most awful thing ever. I will NEVER eat there again, it was by far the worst restaurant I've ever eaten. The waitress and service was okay, but it wasn't the best. Their was also roaches crawling in the floor and some were laying their dead. It was very disgusting. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless they liked eating fingernails and hair. The food was tasted terrible. Their was only one person that had decent food that was with us. The drinks were a little flat also. I wanted to get up and just walk out, but I didn't want to be rude. I give this place 1 out of 5 pitchforks.
ReplyDeleteWhy are Nike shoes so bad? They only last about 2 months and they tear so easily which is terrible. I made my own Nike Free Runs 2 on Nike ID for $115.00. I have only had them for about 3 months and the souls are breaking and cracking. I don't wear them everywhere I go just when I need them. The last Nike shoes I had were very comfortable and had a great style but after the first month they just fell apart like an old toy. Now those shoes are in the garbage.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong, the style and the colors are really pop out at you but there worthless. If you want a better shoe that won't let you down is the Mizuno's. They have great designs (not better than Nike) and last a lot longer. Mizuno's are great for running and great for walking. the only thing that Nike does better to there shoes is the eye popping color and design of there shoes.
Nike is a great apparel and sporting equipment company they just can't make shoes. There clothes are one of a kind with there 100% cotton shirts with tremendous statements. There equipment is as reliable as you breathe. Just do not fall for bright colors or the devious style of a Nike shoes. I give this product 1 and a half pitchforks.
Have you ever ate at Western Sizzling? I told my mom I would never go back again. And i've only been there once! Theres a funny, but nasty story behind it.
ReplyDeleteMy mom, my friend, my friends mom, and I were getting hungry one night. So Leslie suggested Western Sizzling. We've never been there, but we'll give it a try.
We sat down and waited for the waitress, it smelt and looked very strange inside. Finally, the waitress came and we got out drinks. I don't think many people order off the menu, you just get the buffet. So we did, we came back and it all looked nasty! And it tasted even worse! I remembered the mashed potatoes were not even mixed up! The waitress could tell we were disgusted.
Then my mom mentioned an ice cream machine. My friend and I darted out of our chairs for it. We got to it, and it looked ancient. But we still used it. My friend picked up a bowl and knocked all of them over, everyone stared. We tried the chocolate first, and it was just brown soupy water. It looked like pure doodoo. So next was vanilla, we waited for it then it finally came out. It came out straight down, going so, so SLOW. It would not drop, so it just hung there longer than a pencil. Then it dropped and we busted out laughing. My friend poured a billion sprinkles on it, then we went back to the table. We were still laughing so hard, my friend peed in her pants! Yes, peed her pants. And she had on grey sweatpants, it was hilarious.
This is why i will never go back to Western Sizzling. The food was horrible, the service was slow, and the ice cream machine is a piece of junk! The one plus side is the price, it was pretty cheap. Other than that, don't go! I give Western Sizzling one pitchfork.
Negative Review:.. I have personally never liked eating at Ryan's, but my parents and their friends USED to. Ryan's first off is very expensive. Also, not very good, food wise. Their service isn't all that good either. Considering I've had to refill my own drink numerous times in the past,they need new service. The last time we ate there was a roach crawling up the wall . Which led to them now having a health rate of 88. Apparently health is not an issue at Ryan's. They don't even set your silverware. The silverware is found in little cups labeled, "silverware." I have had cold food several times. They have food bars, but never put out fresh food, not even after complaints about the food being cold. I will NEVER in my life eat Ryan's again. I find it extremely gross and disgusting. Ryan's doesn't even deserve 1 pitchfork.

My family has recently started using Direct TV. Direct TV has good quality movie and music chanels. It also has lots a good things about it like the amount of stations, and the amount of channels you get, but i have one pretty big problem with it, when ever it starts to rain it has abominable signal. For example lets say there is a massive storm coming towards your house, and you try to look at the news to see whats going on. well when ever you cut on your television on all that would come up is a blue screen saying signal lost. This to me is a very big safety hazard. If you disagree with me its okay, its just my outlook at the item. Other then loosing signal when ever theres just the slightest amount of rain, I would say Direct tv is an okay television provider. I know i am not alone on my point of view. and if there is a lot more people posting about the same complaint, then maby they would do something about it. I hope this helps out some people with choosing your television provider.

Charter Cable is absolutely the worst television network ever. I am writing a negative review that is going to save the lives of all people who are thinking about getting this network. Here is my synopsis of this network.
ReplyDeleteExhibit A the DVR, this item will not record anything within the "Double-Digits". Whenever you wish to watch a recorded show or movie, all you will receive is static; similar to a highly scratched DVD. You must go to the channels in the "Hundreds" to set a recording which is tremendously difficult if you do not know where you channel is. Also in you DVR playlist, there is no way to organize your shows; instead of keeping them in a file where all shows of a certain title of category is it is completely unorganized in a clutter. Next if you are scrolling through your guide or if you type in a channel on your remote, it will take at least one minute to load which horrible if you are in a hurry to watch a certain program.
However i must state facts, and there are some upsides to this network. Unlike DirecTV this network will not lose signal if there is bad weather. and the Internet and Phone Package is excellent. The Internet Moves at Incredible speed. Charter it self is okay, but i give Charter Cable 1 1/2 pitchforks

Giovanni's... well i have to say i was very DISSAPOINTED with my visit to this establishment. First off i was just sitting there having a pizza which was not good by the way i feel something tickle my feet and i look down to see a giant rat crawling across my feet. Second off the management is very rude and the bathrooms are DISGUSTING so if you are looking for a place to eat i would not recommend this restaurant.

ReplyDeleteUnder Armour is sometimes expensive clothes that rip or tear. The long sleeve shirt is very itchy and i have to constantly fix it. The shorts rip very easily. The Shoes that i had fell apart and i had to be new ones before the year was up. There is not a very big selection of shorts that i like. They never have the size of shoes i need or want. If they have the shoes i want they have to order them. They never really help you when your looking for something. They dont have a big selection of pants too wear. if i were you i would not buy underarmour.
ReplyDeleteAt&t is NOT the service I would recommend for phone service. I used to use at&t until I moved and I couldn't get service anymore. Don't get me wrong, they have great phones and all but, they have terrible service! Where I live the only good service you really get is Verizon. That's the best you can do. I hate sharing my phone, I am just really stingy and if I go somewhere with one of my friends that use at&t it makes me so mad to hear, "Can I borrow your phone? I do not have service." I don't see why people stay connected with at&t if they don't get service anywhere! Then again Verizon phones tend to mess up easily or either it's just the Android system that messes up. At&t employees kind of act like they care, to me. I don't like there store or anything. They have better phones than Verizon but, terrible service!! I won't use at&t again because i am a texter and it makes me mad not to have service. I'm not sure if they're faster or not but, i doubt they are. I wouldn't have a problem with them if they actually had service! They do have good plans and all as far as price, so I give them credit for that! I give At&t 2 pitchforks.
ReplyDeleteTarget is a grocery store like Walmart but i think Target is a wanna be Walmart. Target is very hard for someone to find something if they have never been there before. Target has more clothes than they have food and because of that you can hardly find the food. Target is not all bad, but for some reason i just don't like it. The only thing i like about Target is how modern it looks. I guess another thing i like about Target is there buggies. There buggies are bigger than usual buggies, and funnier to play with. Like i said earlier target isn't a bad store, but i just don't like it. My overall rating for Target would probably be 4 pitchforks
ReplyDeleteThere is one store that I don't really like and it is Dirt Cheap. This store is a mess. They have toys thrown down on the floor. Other things on the floor. Mostly everything are opened and the ones that have boxes are ripped open.
ReplyDeleteThey sell batteries that don't even work! I mean who would like to get batteries that don't work? When you use the buggies (carts), you can't even take them anywhere. They should keep everything clean, and nice looking.
They have shoes' that don't even have pairs. They also sell broken things. I would not like to go back to that store. It was just horrible looking, and messed up. And when you go to the counter to pay your stuff; you have to wait for quite a while. The employee's are not good, not helpful.
i think this store is not a well place to go get stuff. So if you like going to stores; where it is so messy; then you should go to Dirt Cheap. And if you don't then don't even think about going to this store, EVER!

Nike is a popular world known athletic brand. Nike also has a reputation for pleasing customers around the globe. I have unfortunately come across a disappointing product of Nike's. I am an avid on court tennis player , who purchased the Women's Nike Air Max Breathe Two Tennis Court shoes, right before spring tennis season. At the beginning , the sparkly pearl white court shoes held together very well. As I continuously wore the pair of shoes, I noticed every time I sprinted or even jogged , my shoes squealed.
ReplyDeleteWeeks went by and sharp lightning bolt pains rushed through my shins. My legs grew sore and tired as the bottom of the shoes wore down. I realized it was time to give the shoes a new home , when my feet decided to ski across the tennis court. I appreciate Nike and their products , but I would not recommend buying a pair of Nike court shoes.I believe the pair of Women's Nike Air Max Breathe Two Tennis Court shoes deserve two pitchforks.
Case It Binders(negative)
ReplyDeleteCase it Binders are TERRIBLE; I bought one to start off the school year and in about a week it fell apart. A lot of my friends had the same complaints about their binders. The material of the binder was cheaply made and was not worth the cost. The binder was AWFUL the zipper pencil pouch on the inside of the binder fell off. My papers always fall out and the binder is ripped really bad on one side.
I do not like Case it or any of their HORRIBLE products because of all the defects they have. I will NEVER buy another one of their products again. I certainly do NOT and would NOT recommend their products to anyone. If i had to give them a rating of one to five pitchforks I honestly would give them one pitchfork.
I think Kmart is one of the worst stores to shop. After reading many reviews on the world wide web, I can only agree with the thousands of consumers...

I want to share some of my recent experiences. First of all the store in Albertville has a problem with cleaniness. The store semms to always be messed up and the bathrooms smell like the septic tank has exploded. Second problem I have is with "Customer Service" or lack there of to be honest. You can never find an associate and when you do they act like you a bothering them. One time I was in the store and needing help but when I finally found someone they said "Sorry this isnt my department". They didn't even try to help me. Thridly, checking out at Kmart is a total nightmare. Twenty people wanting to checkout and you have one cashier. That really nice Kmart. It's not like I want to stand in line for 20 minutes to buy something. Hire some extra people. You should know when your "busy" time is so why don't you schedule cashiers to work during this time?
I have never shopped online but according to the many shoppers that have it is a total disaster. They overcharge you and when you place an order online they will notify you 2 weeks later to tell you what you've oreder is either no longer instock or your whole order gets cancelled. So if they haven't made your in store bad enough, they have carried their poor customer service online.

ReplyDeleteI personally like chinese food, it has a great taste. One thing i don't like is a roach floating in the food I eat. Once my family decided to go eat at the Chinese Buffet in Albertville for my sister birthday. We got there and ordered our drinks, and went to get our food. I was in the fruit section ready to get some oranges, when i noticed a dead roach floating in there. I was so grossed out i immediately went, and told my dad. He went and told the manager, and he instantly apologized for the incident. We decided to leave and go some where else, because my dad said he was not going to pay for food where a roach had already been. It was a bad experience, even dough their waitress are well attending to the customers, they should be more cleaner, and bug free.
I give this Two Pitch Forks.

ReplyDeleteAlthough I am very fond of this particular super-mart I do have to admit their services are very poor. One policy regarding how policies can be meet or beaten is slid back on. The personal employed in the facility are rather uncaring on tasks and duties. They are lazily missioned to complete their goals. If you have or ever had credit card or finical issues the staff is lazily paced at manipulating your problems.
Wal*mart is a spectacular sight of business. This super store may fulfill your need on a variety of things. The multiplicity of individual goods you can purchase is countless. I give them three and a half pitchforks.

Have you ever ate at a restaurant and instantly fell in love with that place? Well, when i was in the 2nd grade we went out to a Mexican restaurant called "Los Arcos" When we sat down, the booths were very comfy. A polite waitor came to our table and took our order. He was very nice, but not over gleeful. He got our order out quickly and the food was awesome! That was our first time there and we still go there today and its still the same. I really enjoy going there. Their food is to die for. If you like spicy, war, steamy food, then u will love Las Arcos. If you don't like that type of food then you can always fall back on Burger King. And something different they do at their place is that if u tell them its your birthday they will sing "Happy Birthday" to you in Spanish. Every time i have been to Los Arcos i have never had a complaint. So i give it 4 and a half pitch forks
I really despise Dirt Cheap. In my opinion, it is one of the worst stores EVER! As the name states there is dirt for cheap meaning there are lots of items with dirt on them due to being on the floor. I mean as soon as you walk in the front door you almost run into all this stuff, and it is just filthy. Once you finally get around all the mess you see yellow caution tape everywhere, broken items, and lots and lots of shoppers searching for a bargain that's not really a bargain anyway. You have to dig for hours and step over items that have been thrown in the floor, and hope when you find a good deal on something it's not broken. There are racks of ripped clothes that are encased in caution tape that are "not for sale". What is the purpose of having them if you can't even purchase them? Then there is the whole farm animal theme on the walls. I do not understand this. The employees are rude, not willing to help you, and are not friendly when checking out. There is only one checkout lane open and there's always a line backed halfway through the store. The only good thing about the store is that it's cheap, so if you enjoy looking for hours and digging through broken items, then this is the store for you. I give this store 1 out of 5 pitchforks.
ReplyDeleteWarning, you should never go eat at Applebees. I could list atleast 50 reasons of why you shouldn’t visit here. I will list a few in this review. Number one, the food is horrible! They have a few entress that are good, but for the most part it is terrible tasting food. They mix things that should not go together. This food is for animals, not normal humans.
ReplyDeleteThey have the worst staff in all of Albertville, maybe even all of Alabama. They are completely rude and non-sociable. They say all their words in dull and boring tones. They never give kind gestures at all! They take forever to cook and bring out your food, it makes you want to leave every time.
One time, my dad and I went to Applebees, we got seated and ordered our drinks and everything then one of his friends came and sat two tables ahead of us. We got up and went to talk to them. Dad left his jacket in the seat with his phone and keys in the jacket pockets. After we talked, we came back to our table to find the jacket, our drinks, and menues gone. We sat there till our waitress got back. We asked what was going on and she said she though we had left.
We went to the check out counter to find the woman going through my dad’s phone and completely violating his privacy. We were just two tables down and in plain sight. Therefore, never go to Applebees. I give Applebees one pitchfork out of five.

ReplyDeleteLos Arcos is a Mexican restaurant in Boaz, Alabama. The first time I went to eat at Los Arcos was with my aunt and uncle. When I got there my first impression was that it looked excellent. I thought it wasn’t going to be tasty because it wasn’t like a real Mexican restaurant, but it was right the opposite. My uncle ordered the food for us while a lady brought chips and salsa to our table. After a while the food arrived. It smelled great and looked delicious.
I love eating at Los Arcos. It is one of the best restaurants around Boaz. I don’t go often because my mom doesn’t enjoy eating there, but when I do I love eating their fiesta fajitas. It is by far the best dish I’ve ever tried. If you’ve been there then you’ll know what I am talking about. What I don’t like about Los Arcos is that you usually have to wait a while for your food to arrive. If your family has a long conversation before you all start eating or if you are not very hungry then you will love it. The waiters are all very friendly and if you’ve never been there they’ll give you a description of a meal that you will like to know about. The place is also spotless and very cute. Ever since that first day I went to Los Arcos I want to go more and more often. I would like to try new stuff like when I took the first bite out of those juicy and cheesy fajitas.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to ANYONE and I give it 4 pitchforks.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever wondered what the mystery meat is at your school? Well I have done some research and found out that the hamburger meat is really dog intestines!!! YUCK!! Food critics think that this is wrong that is why we are eating the new, but horrible food.
ReplyDeleteThe top three things that I hate the most are the sweet potato fries, fishy nuggets, and the beef stir fry. They just cant get them right one day they are soggy and the next burnt.
If you think about your moms cooking well it is ten times worse. But one the bright side there are some good items that they serve. They are the Peanut Butter Squares and regular french fries. When you are mad or even sad the lunch ladies are always there to sweeten up your mood. They stay in uniform and stick too there policy. You are either gonna love or hate there food, most say it is okay. But as for me I say that if you want a mystery meal come on down to our Albertville Middle School cafeteria.
my negative review is on k-mart.The first time i shopped there they didnt have anything i was looking for. The service was not that great. the prices were very expensive. There were no employees there to help me find what i needed. The clothes fell apart after a few weeks and the products were very much out of order. we stood in line for about thirty minutes. their electronics were not very dependable. the store trys to still your money. i do no recommend this store to anyone. if u really want to save your money do not shop at k-mart

Because i pay $45 a month talk and text and I wanted internet but it wasn't include.i bought a phone for $85 i had 30 days garranted so i bought the phone wen i got home i tried the phone i work perfect but the Camera didn't so i went end returned the phone i bought another one.
when i got home i took a picture the camera worked but it took a long time to send. and to receive i also takes a long time.

Giovannis... well i have to say i was very dissapointed with my visit to this establishment. First off we ordered the chicken wings and they were tasteless and their pizza is too oily. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING and their service is LOUSY. The only thing good that i have to say is that their mushroom steak and cheese sandwiches fries and salads are very good and that their employees are very rude.

ReplyDeleteThe Nook Tablet is a readers tablet. the nook tablet has over 2 million books. if you want more books, you can purchase them. the company barn and nobles helps you if you have problems with your nook tablet. when you go to the store you can read a book for free for an hour, so you can come everyday for an hour. you can listen to music, it gives you pandora. it also gives you the top musics, or you can add your own musics.
ReplyDeleteif you have wi-fi than you can go on facebook and chat with your friends. you can also go to "lend me" and you can tray books with your friends. if you are a big fan of angry birds you can play it. the nook tablet has also other fun games.
if you have kids, you can read them little books for the night. you can also record your voice and then play it. Your children can draw on the nook tablet. Any child can follow and read along with the tape.
you can put the kindle books inot the nook tablet. if you read what others think of their nook tablet their gonna put that the only bad thing is that, you only have 1 GB for you. people think thats not enough space for their stuff.

ReplyDeleteBoaz 9 is one of the best movie theater in Marshall County. It is difficult to find problems with this theater. For many of you who have never been to this location; this review may help with your decision making.
ReplyDeleteMy first note is on the arcade, this place is the perfect spot to hang out if you are waiting on your movie; the games are excellent, and you have a wide variety of choose from. Next, the food is excellent, and they have the perfect selection of drinks and food to choose from. Also ( Unlike Rave ) the popcorn is incredible with a choice of butter or not and a HUGE selection of seasoning.
Since this cinema has many different theater sizes it is never overcrowded. Also the 3D picture quality is incredible, it almost feels as if you are in the movie.
However, one of the only problems is that when in the theater there are only one or two seats where you can watch the screen perfectly. Overall I give this place 4 1/2 Pitchforks

ReplyDeleteCaptain America, I would say was an okay movie. I'm not saying it was the worst movie in the world, but it wasn't my all time favorite. I say it just isn't worth watching.
Captain America would have been a very worth while movie if it looked real. All the action, you couldn't see the wires but you could tell he had them on the whole movie, every bit of the action was fake. You could tell every time what he was about to do!!!!! Even the makeup didn't look real or right.

Kmart is not so much of a good store. They have a very poor variety of items. One thing they should really think about is expanding their grocery section. They have very little to select from. Also, if you want to pay double the price for something, Kmart is the store for you! They have awful customer service. Several of their employees are very rude. They have an electronic section, but there isn't a wide selection. Kmart is a fairly large store ,but they don't really have anything. I honestly don't know how they are still in business. Their gardening selection is very poor. During Christmas they do have a good selection of christmas items and decorations. Their jewelry selection is not good at all. Their biggest problem is not having a big enough selection of products or items. Personally i don't like kmart, but you might have a different opinion.
ReplyDeleteAriat boots are not good boots in my opinion. I bought a pair the side busted out. I wen't back to where i bought them they gave me a new pair. The sole ripped of of them in about a month. They also leak alot. I could barley be in water and they would leak. I could walk through a field that was wet and they would leak. They were very uncomfortable. They were very hot. I have a few buddies that won't were nothing but ariats. My mom only were's ariats. THere also very narrow. There very expensive as well.

ReplyDeleteI hate Pepsi! Everytime i drink it, there's just something about it that makes me sick. When you buy Pepsi at a store, it doesn't take very long for it to go flat. I never drink it, the taste of it is weird too. You couldn't pay me to drink Pepsi because it is that terrible. Out all the soft drinks that I have drank, Pepsi has to be the worst. When you buy a bottle of Pepsi at a gas station or grocery store, the bottle is never all the way full like other soft drinks. It seems like they are trying to rip you off by not giving you as much as other soft drinks. The reason I know these things about Pepsi is because my sister's favorite drink is Pepsi. I honestly don't know how were brother and sister because were so different. Pepsi and me don't go too good together. I absolutely HATE that drink. If i was stranded in a desert and a Pepsi fell out of the sky, I would probably not drink it. That's how much i don't like Pepsi. I rate it a 1 pitchfork out of 5.
The reason I picked is because I think there terrible. A long time ago i thought it was pretty good, but now that's a whole different story.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot f reasons I don't like Ryan's, but I'm only going to tell a few. One: There meat is never cooked and it's always cold. I remember one time when we went there my uncle spent at least five minutes chewing a small piece of meat. Although if you like cold and chewy meat Ryan's is the place for you! Two: most of there silverware is dirty and hats nasty. Three: there vegetables are never done. those are just a some reasons way I dislike Ryan's. I give them three pitchforks. I would have give two but the bathrooms are pretty clean.

ReplyDeleteI am reviewing a chinese restaurant in Albertville, Alabama. This restaurant is called PEKING. I went there with my family and friend Dawson. Of course, Dawson found a hair in his food. Our waitress was very wierd looking and had a lazy eye so i couldn't tell if she was talking to me or not. That's not her problem so I'm not making fun of her. Also the same waitress DID NOT have an inside voice. We hardly ever got refills on our drinks. After we ate there, my dad and I went to Wal-Mart and he thought he was going to throw up. I will NOT eat here again as long as I am able to consume food.I dont think this place deserves 1 pitchfork so I gave this place half a pitchfork!
Well Krystals is my negative review. I dislike krystals hamburgers because they are discusting and are way to soft. One of my friends went there and when he took the bun off there was hair on the burger. Also another one of my friends went there and there was a bug in it. I will never eat there again. I encourage parents and teenagers to never eat there. I ate there once and i was sick for 2 weeks. If you choose to eat there its your choice. But i wouldnt suggest it because you dont want to be throwing up for 2 weeks. So dont eat there. I give Krystals 1 PITCHFORK.

They even have a lousy health rating and when i see a health rating under a 90 i know for a fact that the place isn't clean. even when you order your food they make you wait about 45 minutes and the prices are very high for such lousy food the only positive thing i have to say about this restaurant is that they have a large parking lot. ReplyDeleteSome restaurant’s are delicious, others comforting, and there are some that are just unbelievably unbearable! I’m not sure if it’s in the way that I don’t like the type of food, or it may just be that I don’t like it at all!!! Santa Fe is an old-fashioned restaurant that is simply a waste of time and money in my opinion. Their food is pretty expensive, and let me tell you this, the food is just plainly disgusting and has no taste to it. The restaurant is always crowded and the place decorations are just messed up. There are boots hanging half way on the walls, bull horns leaning against the chairs, it’s just a really uncomfortable place to eat or even be in. The restaurant is always dirty with trash and peanut shells all over the floor. Even though it’s meant to be like that, it just makes the place look nastier than what it already is. Although I have to say that the waitresses and the people that work there are really nice. They treat you really gentle and trying their best effort to make you feel right. Even though it is quite impossible with all the weird and wrong things with this place. The smell of this place is really bad and very unpleasant that makes it pretty impossible to breathe. I wouldn’t highly recommend this restaurant to anyone for the food besides the great attendance they give to the customers. If you are one of those people that might like this kind of atmosphere, then I guess this might be a place for you to feel welcome at. Besides all of that I rate this restaurant with 2 pitchforks.
Pillow Pets are cute, fluffy, and great for kids. You can get almost any animal you can think of. There are also Alabama, Auburn, Cars 2, and so many more! One minute it's your favorite animal, just undo the Velcro and you have a pillow.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I like about these and think is a smart idea is that there is a small piece of fabric that acts as a cover for the Velcro. So, when you undo the Velcro simply attach that piece to it. When you go to lay down you won't get poked.
Pillow Pets would be a wonderful gift for Christmas, birthdays, or just anytime. My brother is an Alabama fan and got a Bama elephant. He has said nothing but amazing things since. Really the only problem we've had with Pillow Pets is when my cousin's started to rip.
I'm sure that if you receive or give someone one, they will be highly satisfied with it. I know we were. I recommend these to anyone and everyone! With all of that being said, I give Pillow Pets 4 out of 5 pitchforks.

ReplyDeleteI am reviewing the series of Alex Rider. This are real awesome books. It starts ot with this average boy, Alex Rider, who life changes in one night. For the ones who think this can't happen, then this series will change your mind.
One night he is a normal teenager, and the next he is the youngest spy in the world working the British Intelligence. If you dont think this is cool, then something is wrong with you. The book doesn't hook you right away; but the more you read, the more you want to keep reading.
I like this books because it has twists and turns. Against all odds, this 14 year old boy survives from a bullet a few inches from the heart, to a nuclear bomb, and being in space with no training. It might sound fictional but Anthony Horowitz gives you every detail and makes it seem real.
No woder its addicting, it is written by one of the New Yorks best sellin authors. I give this book series 5 out 5 Pitch Forks.

ReplyDeleteMcDonalds is a great restaurant for most people, but not for me. They can do a lot of improvement to this reataurant. Sometimes it is so full, you got wait a long time. The bathroom can also use a little bit of attention.
I think this problem is the worst one McDonalds can have. They always mix up your order. Especially if you make a big order. Either you don't get someting you order or you get it mixed up with someone else's. If you had to wait a long time in the drive through, it because they got another order wrong.
I have also heard rumors about their french fries being fake! In other words, their fries are not completely made of potatoes. You can eve search it up in the internet.
If i were you, i would go to another restaurant. I mean theres KFC or Burger King instead. I give McDonald one out of five Pitch Forks.
