Why is it that Sucker has decided to let his anger loose on Pete now, Pete has been mean to Sucker all his life and Sucker lets loose now? Why?

ReplyDeleteCloie, I think he finally just let loose now because Sucker actually believes that Pete hates him because he was so calm when he said all those things about he never really liked him and all that stuff. So, I think he just finally realizes that he isn't going to be nice to him anymore because Maybelle is mean to Pete.
ReplyDeleteDakota, I think that Sucker might be a little too angry to speak to him while he's mad at him. Example when I'm really upset at my sister I don't wanna talk to her. I think if I did I would hit her. :b

ReplyDeleteI know ^that sounds a little mean, but trust me it's the truth Sucker doesn't wanna talk to Pete. They will forget about it in a week or so.
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't understand is that Pete and Sucker were getting so close. They were best friends at one point, and when Pete said all of those mean things to Sucker they should've just tried to work it out. They could've just talked about it. I think that Pete should've apologizes but Sucker didn't have to completely shut him out.

Maybe he really was mad but he just didn't show it until then. Maybe all of these mean things that Pete has done has just been building up and then Sucker just broke when Pete started yelling at him and telling him how much Pete didn't like him.
ReplyDeleteCloie, that's a good point, but if he would just listen to what Pete has to say he might understand it. Or they might fight it out. Which I think fighting it out or talking to eachother might actually help their problem.

ReplyDeleteCloie, I think it's like what Dakota said. Pete has been treating Sucker this way for years. When Pete says all these hurtful things to him, he says them calm and slow, and so Sucker actually believes him. He really thinks the Pete has hated him all these years.

ReplyDeleteCloie, the story said that two or three months went by without them talking so I don't think they will ever sort things out.

ReplyDeleteCloie, I mean it would be different if a week had past, and they forgot about it, but they said like three months and I'm thinking um woah do you not think that it's been enough time to calm down and be nicer to eachother I mean goodness. If you're going to have to live with them ehy not get over your fight.

ReplyDeleteDakota, I think Pete does not realize it because he is just so love struck and excited! Pete is just so happy that Maybelle is actually speaking to him. He doesn't even care what it takes, just hearing her voice or seeing her puts Pete in heaven! Pete is so in love, he would have done anything for Maybelle.

ReplyDeleteRagan, I think that Pete has been being mean to sucker all these years, and Sucker admired Pete too much to realize what was an okay way to be treated. So now, when Pete blows up on him this time, Sucker thinks that Pete really hates him.
ReplyDeleteTanner, Pete is probable afraid to talk to him because he doesn't want to hurt him anymore. Another reason he is afraid to talk to him is because Sucker is growing up and Pete is scared of him.
ReplyDeleteTanner, I think Sucker got so big and strong that he is kind of afraid to work things out because if he makes Sucker mad he will hurt Pete.
ReplyDeleteAllie I think Pete isn`t trying to work things out with him because inside he is petrified of Sucker. He thinks maybe he will say something wrong and start a chain of arguments between them. He also thinks Sucker would kill him if he got the chance.

ReplyDeleteCloie you got to loook at it from suckers point of view, he was mistreated by his (brother) for so long and he looked up to his brother but then pete just blows up on him
ReplyDeleteResponding to Cloie's question: I think he loved Pete so much that he didn't want to make Pete even angrier than Sucker thought he was at him. Also I think Sucker just wanted Pete to like him and so he tried to just be quiet and did what ever Pete told him to do. Until finally little Sucker couldn't take it any more and decided to just block Pete out.

ReplyDeleteKatie, because she is the most popular, and beautiful, and everyone wants to be with her. So if pete gets Maybelle, Pete would be "cooler or more popular." And sometimes, you just fall for a girl and don't realize what or who your going for.
