Book Bloggin
Write a brief summary about a book or story we have read in READING Class thus far this year. After the summary, feel free to include our thoughts (what you thought about the book.) PROOFREAD BEFORE YOU POST.
We have liked the book Sucker. In the story Sucker it was about a boy named Pete that had a younger cousin named Richard, but he called him Sucker because he was so gullible. Pete started to like this girl, Maybelle, but she was not so interested in him. Maybelle pretended to like Pete so she could get all the things he gave her. Pete was so happy and started being nice to Sucker. Sucker was kind of glad that Pete liked him. Maybelle dumped him and Pete got mad and snapped at Sucker. Sucker changed and decided that he didn't like Pete anymore.
This is the summary of The Sneetches. There was two types of Sneetches, the star-bellied Sneetches and the Sneetches with out stars. One day a guy came telling the Sneetches with out stars that they could get stars. Then all them got stars. Then all the Sneetches couldn`t tell who was who. It then turned into chaos of Sneetches getting stars on and off. After they ran out of money, they then realized that they could get along if you had a star or not.
I thought this was a great book and it taught a lesson on how you treat people and a lesson on figurative language all at the same time!
In the story 'Boar Out There' a little girl had always heard the stories that there was a wild boar in the woods. One day she went out in the woods and saw the boar. When she saw it she thought it would kill her. Then they heard a bird whistle ,and the boar ran past her. The whole town was living in fear of something that was scared of a little girl and birds.
Meg Dooley Here is a summary of the story Sneetches. All of the star bellied sneetches never talked to the plain bellied sneetches. Untill one day, a man with a giant machines rode to the place the sneetches were, the machines could give a sneetch a star or remove one. All of the snnetches went through each machine until they ran out of money. They ended up being kind to one another, and treating each other equally. That was a summary of the Sneetches.
Here is my opinion of the story. I think this book teaches a very good life lesson in a funny way.
The Sneetches was a really great book we read in Dr.G's reading class. The lesson in the book is to never judge a sneetch by its belly. Also, the sneetches learned in this story unlike most children's books. I (Cody) liked the book because I like going back to reading kindergarten and first grade books every now and then. I (Strickland) also realy like to get away from the 200 pound books and just read a little 1st or 2nd grade book. The sneeches was probably one of the best children books we've ever read.
The Sneetches is a fun and silly story. This book talks about the importance of not judging people and not to follow other people,do your own thing. It also talks about how the sneetches where scammed by the man and that taught me not to trust a stranger. We really need to take this advice especially in the world that we live in today!
The Sneetches is a wonderful story about not judging a book by its cover. There were Sneetches with stars on their bellies, they thought they were the better ones. The other Sneetches were sad that they didn't have stars on their bellies. One day a man came with a machine to fix their problem. The Sneetches that didn't have stars got stars! The other Sneetches were upset that they couldn't tell them apart, so the original star bellies Sneetches got in the star take a way machine. Both the originals and the new star bellies Sneetches wasted all their money taking off and putting on stars till they couldn't tell each other apart. In the end they learned that no one is perfect and that they all are special in their own way. They made new friends and lived happily ever after! THE END!
Sneetches was a great Dr.Seuss book for ages young and old. It taught us about equality and the golden rule. It talked about sneetches on beaches learning to except each other. It was excellent reading experience.
We loved it. It was a wonderful story that taught you that everyone is alike
Sneetches is a great book. It's a very creative book with an amazing message that inspires all. It has another story behind it that only writers can picture. It is a awesome children's book but if you really look into it you will see the moral of the story. It's about how all people are treated equal no matter stars or not. I think this is a stupendous book to open up the year with.
The Sneeches is basically about a group of yellow birds that perpetuated stereotype's (star bellies and non-star belies). A monkey named Sylvester said "if you pay 3 dollars you could get a star on your belly, guaranteed." So all the non-star bellied Sneeches went in the contraption and got a star on their bellies. when the star bellied Sneeches found out about this they were mad. They wanted to figure out a way to tell the difference between them and the non-stared bellied Sneeches. at that moment Sylvester told the that for 10 dollars they could get their stars off. So every sneech got there star removed from their belly. Sylvester is laughing while he is getting all this money. IN the end they all turn out to realize that they all are the same even if some have stars and some don't.
IT WAS A MONKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is about the sneetches.in this book their are star bellied sneetches and their are just regular sneetches and the star bellied sneetches think they are better than the normal sneetches. then a monkey sales man comes in and makes the sneetches without stars give him money for stars. than the starred sneetches get angry and pay to get unstarred in a different machine and that keeps going on for along time until they cant find who is who. they all become friends because they don't know who is who. that is the summary of the story The Sneetches.
We liked the book Sneetches. We liked this book because it teaches a life lesson about being yourself. It is about how the star bellied sneetches are bulling the plain bellied sneetches. Then the plain bellied sneetches were getting jealous. Then to solve the problem a man came around to sell stars to the plain bellied sneetches. Then when the plain bellied sneetches got stars the star bellied sneetches got theirs removed. They kept on doing this until all of the sneetches ran out of money. Then they couldn't tell who was who. That is why we liked this book.
The book the Sneetches is a fantasy for young children, but more meets the eye. In this book there are 2 different types of Sneetches. the star belly Sneetchs think they are better than the plain belly Sneetches. So one day a odd man shows up and says "I can make all your worries go away for only $3" he continued "You must hop in this machine and I can make you look like the star bellied sneetches," All of the strange creatures jumped in the machine. They thought about being like the star bellied sneetches and not who they really were. After they had the stars they thought they were equal. The ones who had stars first said "Don't you know plain belly sneetchs are the best" the odd man said I can fix you up for $20! In and out more and more dollars fly no had money left so off went the man with thousands of dollar the sneetchs learned that nobody is better even with stars upon their belly.
Maddie and Kenya liked the book Sneetches. We liked this book because, it had a very good lesson but it was described in a fun way. In the book Sneetches all of the star bellied Sneetches made fun of the non star bellied Sneetches. Then a guy came and offered stars to the non star bellied Sneetches stars. When they all had stars they went to the star bellied Sneetches to show off how they had stars to. The star bellied Sneetches said that stars weren't cool anymore. They went to get there stars removed. That kept on until they had no idea who was who. When the man left he said that they would never learn, but after he left all the Sneetches realized who had stars and who didn't. In the end they all got along. the lesson of this story is that you should never judge people on how they look or what they have. You should always include everybody.
SUCKER Today we will give you a brief summary on the book "Sucker" This book started out as two cousins that were like brothers. These boys' names were Pete and Rickard (also known as Sucker). As the book went on the brothers got closer and closer to one another. They shared some happy but also sad moments. At the end of the book Sucker started acting all tough because that's what he thought Pete wanted him to be. This was a brief summary on the book "Sucker".
hi im larry this is the story of how I got here. one school day at HTMS I was teaching a class.it was time for pep rally. I was yelling for my team. after the pep rally I went back to teaching. until all of a sudden I realized I could not see. so after school I went to the eye doctor and he said that I could get a pair of glasses.so the next day I got some glasses and went to school and the students said that I looked nerdy so I gave them silent lunch. so at lunch I stayed in the class room and did paper work. Then my glasses got foggy so I wiped them off and then they slipped and broke so the next week I chose to buy a buy a $300.00 pair of glasses. They were so fancy. then I took the glasses to class and the students loved them.
